Rising to 3,600 metres above sea level, the Les 2 Alpes ski area offers nearly 200 kilometres of slopes and approximately 2,300 metres of vertical drop between the highest peaks and the valley. The resort also features 10 black runs, spread across several sectors with very different profiles. Black Runs for Powerful and Technical Skiing
To put your legs to the test, head towards some of the ski area’s most iconic runs. La Valentin, Bellecombe, La Fée and Super Diable offer steep, sustained descents where balance, precision and commitment truly come into play.
The black run of La Valentin allows skiers to descend all the way back to the resort. With around 450 metres of vertical drop, it is ideal for both wide, flowing turns and faster, more athletic laps, repeated until your legs finally call for a break.
The Diable sector, located at an altitude of 2,400 metres, is another must for advanced and expert skiers. Its red and black runs plunge down long, steep slopes, with sections winding through the trees. It is the perfect terrain for powerful, committed skiing, enhanced by breathtaking panoramic views over La Muzelle and the Vénéon Valley.
Explore the Freeride Areas of Les 2 Alpes
When snow and weather conditions allow, the La Fée sector reveals a wilder side of the Les 2 Alpes ski area. Its wide-open spaces and natural terrain make it particularly popular with freeride skiers.
Several monitored and marked black runs are left ungroomed, offering the sensation of skiing on natural snow. These include La Selle, La Mursiolle and Thuit 4.
For any off-piste skiing in Les 2 Alpes, skiing with a qualified mountain guide or ski instructor is strongly recommended. Before leaving the secured slopes, skiers should always check the weather forecast and avalanche risk and carry the appropriate safety equipment, including a transceiver, shovel and probe.
From the Glacier to the Resort, Ski Without Slowing Down
One of the greatest advantages of a ski holiday in Les 2 Alpes is the diversity of altitude and terrain. A typical day can begin in the high-altitude ski area, between 3,200 and 3,600 metres, continue across the slopes of La Fée or La Toura, and finish with a long descent through the Diable sector or down La Valentin.
The new Jandri lift reaches the high-altitude sector from the resort in around 17 minutes, making it easier to complete more runs and maximise time on the slopes.
Freestyle skiers can also head to the La Toura Snowpark, located at 2,600 metres, to combine technical skiing with boardercross courses, rails and kickers.
